德国陶瓷艺术家安德雷亚斯·艾莱特（Andreas Ehret）则认为，艺术家要有自己创作的动力和独特的东西，而想象力能够帮忙找出艺术家想要的东西。艾莱特认为，中德文化的交流同时也是想象力的交流，就比如陶瓷艺术，就是中国艺术和欧洲艺术想象力融合的结果。

　　最先提出筹建“文化艺术交流平台”构想的是中国和平发展基金会常务理事、中国国际交流协会理事、雕塑家白一博士。白一1965年出生于中国青岛，先后供职于山东艺术学院、中国美术学院、中华人民共和国建设部，开创了中国城市雕塑规划理论研究的先河，2005年被中华人民共和国建设部评选为“当代中华建设名家”。

　　强强联手：想为艺术家做些事

　　比昂斯蒂尔是一个“中国通”，早在上个世纪60年代他就在中国求学，对中国建立了深厚的情感。最近，他带着另外3位德国陶瓷艺术家来到杭州，与当地的多位知名艺术家聚在一起，他们打算一起筹建一个“文化艺术交流平台”，加强中德两国的文化艺术交流。

　　对于白一博士的构想，比昂斯蒂尔非常认同。比昂斯蒂尔认为，2017年对于中德艺术交流是一个重要的时间节点，因为就在前不久中德两国签订了一个文化交流协议，两国在“民心相通”方面的建设又向前迈进了一步。比昂斯蒂尔说： “中德两国在经济方面合作很好，但文化艺术的交流还有进一步发展的空间，我们要在这个空间里发挥想象力，让艺术交流更快地发展起来”。

　　中国美术家协会会员、原中国美术学院副院长、著名油画家白仁海也表示赞同，他直言，中国的油画家们经常从德国的表现主义作品中吸取营养，如今邀请德国的画家来到中国共同交流研讨，也是非常有意义的。
